Old & fat and desperate to find anything to nudge me out of stress eating ice cream & push me into a healthier lifestyle, I decided to try the free class that Brazilian Top Team offers. Today I completed, or managed to survive, my 5th class! It has been challenging, but the atmosphere I have been a part of there, makes it just a tiny bit more fun than tough! I had emotional needs that were not being met & it was preventing me from taking steps to loose weight, but the acceptance & encouragement that I have experienced there has put me on track where I needed & wanted to be. From day 1, I have felt included in a very family friendly environment. One of the most surprising & inspiring things about the class is how everyone is a teacher, & everyone is a student, no matter what level or age you are. I have not seen anything quite like it in other sports, & it is so incredibly beneficial for growth on so many different levels. I learn just as much from the kids as I do the seasoned adults! I’ve barely dipped a toe in the Jiu-Jitsu ocean, but this class & all the great people there, has turned out to be the motivation that I needed to work towards goals! Edgard, the head coach, has been so compassionate & eases the anxiety of being the new person with one on one instructions & attention, so you don’t feel lost or overwhelmed. The equation of strength, endurance, agility, strategy, technique, and creativity is fascinating & captures your attention in a way that makes you want to learn more. Jiu-Jitsu may not be for everyone, but I firmly believe everyone should try it! It just might be what is missing in your life.

One of them has been to train with different teams and a different academies all throughout the Southeast. If I could only pick one place to train for the rest of my life it would be with Brazilian top team Florida and with Professor Edgard Dutras. If you’re looking for a good place to train, with quality instruction and good people? If you were looking for a safe place to train with your kids in a safe family friendly environment? I Love how they work one on one with you, and provide correction when needed. If you are interested in trying jiujitsu first class is free and i guarantee you wont regret it

My 12 year old daughter & 11 year old son take Jiu Jitsu with Edgard at BTT & it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for them!! This school focuses highly on their children’s classes & instills focus, confidence, discipline & so much more! I highly recommend this school & all of their coaches! We love it!

The flexibility in the class schedule has been incredibly helpful, and the environment feels like a true family. Everyone here is supportive, and the coaches have been amazing, especially when they guided me through my first competition, where I placed 2nd. It’s also a fantastic place for kids to learn discipline and self-defense in a positive atmosphere. Highly recommend!
